Meet Dr. Watts

Dr. Vanessa Watts, DMD

Dr. Vanessa Watts was born in Vancouver, Canada and grew up in Montreal, Canada. She moved to Delray Beach, Florida at a young age where she completed her collegiate studies in Molecular Biology at Florida Atlantic University with an interest in marine biology. Dr. Watts then received her dental degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Dr. Watts continued her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at Nova Southeastern University. Her rigorous four years  included extensive maxillofacial trauma training at two Level One Trauma Centers, facial cosmetics, facial and jaw reconstruction, TMJ surgery, benign and malignant pathology, bone harvesting and reconstruction, anesthesiology, special needs, as well as dentoalveolar and implant surgery.

She has several publications on topics such as alveolar cleft grafting, metastatic tumors of the jaws, as well as post traumatic facial reconstruction. Dr. Watts has presented at several national meetings and continues to be engaged in many local and statewide organizations. Dr. Watts enjoys community outreach and has coordinated surgical missions to Nicaragua, Jamaica, and several local events in Florida for the underserved population and veteran community. She has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area for two years where she has founded a study club for new dentists in the community. She continues her community outreach as a director of oral surgery for the Florida Mission of Mercy program.

With her extensive training in dentistry, anesthesiology, maxillofacial surgery, dentoalveolar and implant surgery, trauma and cosmetics, Dr. Watts practices a wide scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. While surgery is her passion, Dr. Watts finds joy and pleasure in getting to know her patients and making them feel comfortable and cared for on a personal level.

Dr. Watts enjoys traveling the world and learning about new cultures and cuisines. She speaks Spanish and French and is looking for a new language interest. She loves the outdoors and enjoys paddle-boarding, boating, and anything by the beach. As a Moroccan descendant, she has a knack for cooking and enjoys creating all types of dishes. As a competitive softball catcher growing up, she has sports in her blood.  She enjoys supporting the local Tampa Bay teams, even though she was raised a Miami Dolphins fan
